Clinic Mission Statement
We, at the Pacific College of Health and Science clinic, a nationally recognized educational facility, provide exemplary clinical training for our students, personalized Oriental medicine treatments for our patients, and supportive services for our staff, so that each experiences a high degree of satisfaction.
Clinic Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Statement
At the Pacific College of Health and Science wellness center, we believe that all patients deserve to be treated with respect and compassion, regardless of race, economic status, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or religious affiliations. As a reminder of the stewardship and responsibility of patient-centered care that we hold as healthcare providers, it is a our EDI mission to:
- Build infrastructure and practices to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the clinic; recruit, attract, and train a diverse clinical faculty, staff, and students.
- Improve the clinical experience for our students and patients through cultural humility, accessibility, and affirming care; collect and identify gaps around systemic barriers to equity, inclusion, human rights, and diversity; advocate for appropriate strategies to respond to issues.
- Nurture a respectful environment where everyone feels welcome and supported; build awareness of different cultures and traditions, ethnicities, bodies, and disabilities; and teaching equity and inclusion across the College’s clinics, affiliates, classrooms, and labs.
- Engage in equitable health care by taking steps to treat every patient the same; engage in our community through education, service, and advocacy, and using research in health disparities to inform and improve the way the College clinics deliver services.
